Johnlock - A Poem for First Loves

I would like to give you my heart, but I'm not sure I have one.
I'd hate to see you realise; all our hard work become undone.
It's different from when this started, not just a bit of fun.
I hope my heart's up to the task, to give to my ray of sun.

I'd like to keep your heart safe with me, I'm sure there's one inside,
One even such a marvellous detective cannot hide,
Behind the mask of faint disgust and overzealous pride,
There's a man who needs a soldier; a kind and loving side.

I would like to stay forever, though it's my time to leave,
I want your heart to flow to me, I do not wish to thieve,
Promise me my greatest friend, you will not stop to grieve,
The dead can rise, come back to live, if you will believe.
